Everything you need to plan, track, and share your trips.
Go to cloudtrips.uk/signup and enter your email and a password. After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to activate your account. You won't be able to log in until your email is verified.
If the verification email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. You can also request a new one from the verification page.
Go to cloudtrips.uk/login and enter your email and password. If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot password? and follow the reset instructions sent to your email.
Click the sun/moon icon in the top-right header to switch between dark and light mode. Your preference is saved automatically.
From the home screen, type a name in the Trip name field and click Add. Your new trip appears in the grid immediately.
Click the pencil icon on any trip card to rename it inline. Press Enter or click away to save.
Click the copy icon on a trip card to create an exact duplicate including all activities. Useful as a template for similar trips.
Click the bin icon on a trip card. You'll be asked to confirm. Deletion is permanent and removes all activities within the trip.
Use the search bar to filter trips by name. Use the year dropdown to show only trips from a specific year based on their activity dates. Trips load 20 at a time — click Load more at the bottom if you have many trips.
Open a trip and click the notes area at the top to add free-text notes — packing lists, reminders, booking references, anything. Notes are saved automatically as you type.
Activities are the building blocks of a trip — flights, drives, hikes, accommodation, city visits, and anything else. Each activity can have a type, name, location, dates, cost, distance, and notes.
| Type | Use for |
|---|---|
| ✈️ Plane | Flights, transfers by air |
| 🚗 Car | Road trips, drives, car rental |
| 🥾 Hike | Walking, hiking, trekking |
| 🏙️ City | Sightseeing, city days, tours |
| 🏨 Stay | Hotels, Airbnb, camping |
| 🚌 Commute | Bus, train, metro, ferry, taxi |
| 📍 Other | Anything else |
Inside a trip, click Add activity. Fill in the fields you need — only the name is required. Click Save.
Click any activity card to expand it for editing. Changes are saved when you click Save.
Use the up and down arrow buttons on each activity card to change the order within the list.
Use the search box above the activity list to filter by name or location. Click the type filter buttons (plane, car, hike, etc.) to show only specific types. Activities load 50 at a time — click Load more if you have a long trip.
Each activity has an optional start date/time and end date/time. Dates are used to organise the Timeline view and calculate trip duration in Stats. If no dates are set, the activity appears under "No date" in the timeline.
You can record a distance in kilometres for any activity. This is totalled in the Stats view and shown in the PDF export.
Click Timeline in the trip navigation to see all activities grouped by day in chronological order. The timeline shows start and end times, activity type icons, costs, and locations.
You can expand or collapse individual days by clicking the day header, or use Expand all / Collapse all to toggle everything at once. The timeline is also what gets printed when you export to PDF.
Each activity can have a cost and a currency. CloudTrips supports any currency — just type the amount and select the currency code (EUR, USD, GBP, CZK, etc.) from the dropdown.
Click Costs in the trip navigation for a full breakdown. You'll see total costs per currency, a breakdown by activity type, and a day-by-day cost chart. If your trip uses multiple currencies, each is totalled separately and you can choose a display currency to convert everything using live exchange rates.
You can set a default currency in Settings so new activities always pre-fill with your preferred currency.
You can invite other CloudTrips users to collaborate on a trip. Collaborators can add, edit, and delete activities but cannot delete the trip or manage share links — only the trip owner can do those.
Click the Members button inside a trip, enter the email address of the person you want to invite, and click Send invite. They'll receive an email with an invitation link. The link expires after 48 hours — you can resend if needed.
The person must have a CloudTrips account to accept the invitation.
Open the Members panel and click Remove next to the person's name.
If you're a collaborator (not the owner), you can leave a trip from the Members panel.
Click the Export button inside a trip to access export options.
Generates a clean A4 PDF of your trip itinerary — day-by-day activities, times, costs breakdown, and summary. The PDF is rendered on the server and downloaded directly to your device.
Free accounts include 5 PDF exports per month. The counter resets on the 1st of each month. Your remaining exports are shown next to the Download PDF option.
Downloads all activities as a CSV file. You can open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app. Useful for further analysis or keeping a local backup.
Opens a print-friendly version of the itinerary in your browser. Use your browser's print dialog to print or save as PDF locally.
Click Stats from the home screen to see an overview of all your travel across every trip.
The world map tracks countries you've visited. You can add or remove countries manually using the country selector on the Stats page. This is separate from trip data — adding a country to the map doesn't create a trip, and deleting a trip doesn't remove the country from the map.
Click the gear icon in the top-right header to open Settings.
Set a default currency for new activities. All new cost fields will pre-fill with this currency.
Settings → Delete account. You'll need to enter your password to confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all your trips, activities, and personal data are removed. A confirmation email is sent to your address.
If you change your mind, there is no undo. Export any important data before deleting.
